The AVA Academy Program is focused on developing players and establishing the fundamental skill work of the game. Academy teams will practice once or twice a week depending on the season. They will also compete in local tournaments in the Fall and Short seasons (when available). Multiple teams will be made during academy seasons and a coach will be assigned to work with the team. Teams will be divided up by age and skill. Atlanta Volleyball Academy offers an Academy Team at all levels of play, all year long.
The Summer season runs in June and July, practicing once or twice a week. If you choose to participate only on 1 day per week, Wednesday evenings is the day you will practice. If you want to participate on 2 days per week, you will practice on Sundays and Wednesdays.
This season is very skill and drill heavy. We will work on fundamental and foundational skills of the game.
The Summer season does not compete in tournaments. No jersey purchase is required.

The Fall Ball season runs in August and September, practicing twice a week. The fall season mirrors school volleyball schedules. Teams will compete in play dates against other local teams. The fall season is great for any athlete that does not have a school program, is home schooled, or looking for an alternative option from school ball.
The Fall Ball Academy team includes 1 jersey top.
Additional items such as kneepads, shorts, spandex, etc. can be purchased in our ProShop.

AVA's Short Season would be considered our Spring Season and runs from the end of January through mid-April. This season mirrors with the traditional club volleyball season. They will practice once a week and compete in local tournaments/play dates and participate in club team scrimmage nights (pre-scheduled weekday evenings). In this season, teams will practice on the hard court as well as get experience playing sand volleyball in our Beach House on Wednesday evenings (pre-scheduled).
The Short Season Academy team includes a jersey (included in registration fee).
